The Milwaukee County Historical Society and Wisconsin History Press join to host Milwaukee Word, an inaugural multi-author book-signing event.

The inaugural event will take place on December 9 from 10:00 a.m. to noon, and will feature ten authors and their Milwaukee-themed books. The authors will be on-hand to sign their books and to chat with visitors. Their books and other unique gift items will be available for sale.

Milwaukee Word will take place at the Milwaukee County Historical Society, 910 N. Old World Third Street and is free and open to the public. Free admission to the Society’s Milwaukee Holiday Treasures & Traditions exhibit will also be offered during the event.

The Milwaukee County Historical Society was founded in 1935 to collect, preserve and make available materials relating to the history of the Milwaukee community. Through a broad range of activities, the Historical Society seeks to recognize and preserve our local history. In promoting a greater appreciation of Milwaukee County’s heritage, the Historical Society hopes to develop a better understanding of the issues and challenges facing Milwaukee County today.

The Wisconsin History Press has been publishing the state’s history and culture since 1855 in service of the mission of the Wisconsin Historical Society.
