Sculpture Milwaukee’s tours and lecture programs attract summer visitors to downtown

Sculpture Milwaukee, the free outdoor urban sculpture experience presented by lead sponsor Northwestern Mutual, returns to Wisconsin Avenue with 21 works. Featuring internationally, nationally and locally renowned artists, the installation is attracting guests from around the globe. Ghassan Korban to retire as Commissioner of Milwaukee’s Department of Public Works

City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works Commissioner Ghassan Korban announced his retirement effective August 24, after 31 years of service to the municipality. Korban began his City career in DPW in 1987 as a project engineer and worked his way up in the department, culminating in his appointment to Commissioner in 2011 by Mayor Tom Barrett, and confirmed by the Common Council. He was re-appointed Commissioner and confirmed in 2012 and 2016. Urban Ecology Center’s first training intensive brings global community leaders to Milwaukee

The Urban Ecology Center (UEC) will be hosting its first training intensive for civic and community leaders from cities around the world this summer from July 23 to 27. Attendees are coming to learn about the unique urban environmental education and community center model that the UEC has been running in Milwaukee for over 25 years. Bucks Arena picked as adjacent location for first Punch Bowl Social in Wisconsin

Punch Bowl Social will bring its restaurant, bar and entertainment concept to the upcoming Entertainment Block adjacent to the Milwaukee Bucks’ new world-class arena in spring of 2019. Bobbi Kleemann is no stranger to riding Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS).
