Wisconsin Elections Commission launches pilot test of new voting technology during Spring Primary

The Wisconsin Elections Commission, Rock County, and the Town of Fulton are partnering with Microsoft and VotingWorks to test new voting technology during the Spring Primary on Tuesday, February 18. Voters in the Town of Fulton will test a voting system that uses Microsoft’s new ElectionGuard software that allows voters to verify that their ballot was counted. Marquette University selects site of new building for business and innovation leadership programs

During his sixth annual Presidential Address, Marquette University President Michael R. Lovell announced that the university will build a new home for the College of Business Administration and innovation leadership programs at the corner of 16th Street and Wisconsin Avenue, the former site of McCormick Hall, which was demolished last fall. In making the announcement to more than 400 people at his President’s Address, President Lovell lauded Marquette’s alumni, parents and friends for their passion and generosity. The African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin (AACCW) recently announced a generous $300,000 gift from philanthropist Chris Abele to the organizations’s Legacy Campaign, supporting the build-out and renovation of its Co-Working and Innovation Space. The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) announced the selection of the construction and event management teams for the 2020 Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee on February 10.
