Gubernatorial powers restored for Tony Evers after judge blocks lame-duck session laws

A Wisconsin judge issued a temporary block on a series of laws signed by then-Governor Scott Walker in December that limited the powers of his successor, Tony Evers. New business hub for minority entrepreneurs on schedule to open this summer along MLK Drive

The African American Chamber of Commerce of Wisconsin (AACCW) announced the development of “Legacy” last year, a new innovation and co-working space designed by and for African American entrepreneurs. “Huron Building” selected in naming contest for North Broadway development project

The Milwaukee-based real estate development and investment firm, J. Jeffers & Co., recently announced that its latest downtown Milwaukee project will be called The Huron Building. Located at 511 N. Broadway, the development’s ground-breaking is scheduled for April 2019 with project completion expected to occur in the second half of 2020. The building’s name is the product of a contest organized by J. More than $2.5 million has been pledged to name spaces within the new Dwight and Dian Diercks Computational Science Hall at Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and support programs and technology within this state-of-the-art facility.
