Fans of the Adult Swim cartoon “Rick and Morty” had the chance on August 25 to visit the Rickmobile when it arrived in Milwaukee for *Don’t Even Trip* Road Trip 2018, its second cross country promotional tour.

“Rubber baby buggy bumpers!” as the character Rick is fond of saying.

Following in the tradition of the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, the world’s largest Rick – The Rickmobile, a mobile merchandise store shaped like the “Rick and Morty” title character Rick Sanchez – parked behind the Oak & Shield Gaming Pub at 600 E Ogden Avenue.

Hundreds of area residents lined up for photographs with the Rickmobile and purchase collectibles. Many of the “Rick and Morty” items were exclusive to the Rickmobile, like Pickle Rick Pool Float, Morty Beach Towel, Cromulun Kite, 2018 Tour T-shirts.

“Rick and Morty” is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom series that premiered on December 2, 2013. It follows the misadventures of cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his good-hearted but not-that-bright grandson Morty Smith, who split their time between domestic life and inter-dimensional adventures. On the show, Rick and Morty visit infinite number of realities, with the characters traveling to other planets and dimensions through portals and Rick’s flying car.

Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon for Cartoon Network’s late-night programming block Adult Swim, in 2017 it was rated as “the number one comedy across all of television” in the key 18-24 and 18-34 demographics.

The Rickmobile is roughly midway through its tour schedule, with more than 50 stops planned through October.
