The new ownership of the Grand Avenue announce the project partners aligned for the redevelopment of the downtown property. The ownership group is a joint venture between the Aggero Group and Hempel.

After several months of meeting the community and key stakeholders on West Wisconsin Avenue, the ownership group has engaged a project team that will collaborate to transform the Grand Avenue and reposition the three-block development as a premier destination in Westown. The project team includes:

TKWA UrbanLab — the new Milwaukee-based venture focused on placemaking and creating vibrancy in urban environments by the well-known planning and design firm – The Kubala Washatko Architects, Inc.

Collier’s International — the global real estate company that will handle the management and office brokerage for the property.

Mid America Real Estate Group — the full service retail real estate firm will continue retail space brokerage for the property.

NEWaukee — the social architecture firm that specializes in place-based engagement strategies will activate the property through program design, strategic partner alignment and events.

“We recognize that the Grand Avenue has floundered in past attempts to remain vital and activated,” explains Tony Janowiec principal of the Aggero Group. “It’s time for a new vision for the Grand Avenue. We believe this new team has the necessary partners to bring that vision to life.”

The team meets weekly and is currently being led by TKWA through a design and discovery process to fully articulate the new plans for the project. Plans for the redevelopment and project activations will be released by the end of April during NEWaukee’s YPWeek Wisconsin 2016.
