Through work with theologian/author Christopher West, Mangione has gotten to know many religious public figures. He sat with Archbishop Joseph F. Naumann to learn more about who the spiritual leader is, his journey through experiencing tragedy, his church community, and the power of his faith.

When Mike began playing shows at Marquette University, few Milwaukee artists were making things happen on a national level. Peter Mulvey, who is ten years older, had the label, the records, the tour dates and artist collaborations to inspire any budding musician. Over the last ten years, Mike and Peter’s paths have crossed multiple times, recently, recording a cover for Mike’s Three Days EP. Peter’s songwriting, voice and technical skill are second only to his heart and humanity.

Music producer Duane Lundy and Mike’s relationship goes back to the production of Mike’s 2008 release, Tenebrae. Besides being incredibly likable, which is key, Duane’s gift is a strong intentionality and devotion to the spirit and texture of a record. Besides Mike’s records Duane has worked with Ben Sollee, Jim James, Joe Pug, Sturgill Simpson to name a few.
