Big expansion plans coming for Good City Brewing

Good City Brewing, a production brewery and urban taproom that opened less than a year ago on Milwaukee’s East Side, announced that it is moving forward with plans to expand its taproom, production capacity, and beer distribution. The brewery has signed a lease for the adjacent space and will occupy all 11,400 sf of what was formerly Crank Daddy’s Bicycle Shop. Veterans group restructures to focus on separate missions

Wisconsin Veterans Network and Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative have become two separate non-profit groups, in a move made to improve the effectiveness of both organizations. The Wisconsin Veterans Network (VetsNet) has been established as a new non-profit group separate from the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative, its parent organization. The two groups jointly announced the development recently. VetsNet and the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative (MHVI) will become separate tax-exempt charitable entities. Milwaukee leaders react to threats by DOJ over immigration

On April 21, the Trump Administration sent letters to nine jurisdictions. The documents threatened to cut federal funding for state and local law enforcement unless the jurisdictions complied with orders from the U.S. Department of Justice. Those orders related to immigration are currently being challenged in Federal courts, which have been ruled unconstitutional thus far.
