State ignores health of Milwaukee consumers by eliminating popular food grading system

Less than one year after the City of Milwaukee implemented a successful restaurant grading system that has been popular with consumers and establishments, the State of Wisconsin program will ban the program. The state Board of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection voted 4-2 to update a series of food rules on November 15, to bring Wisconsin’s food code in line with federal guidelines. Included in the new rules is language prohibiting restaurant grading systems. Marcus Theatres releases top film picks by Milwaukee moviegoers for holiday season

Milwaukee-based Marcus Theatres recently surveyed moviegoers in Wisconsin and seven other states to find out what traditional holiday films made the top of their list, and which new Hollywood blockbusters were they most excited to see. Those results were released on November 29. As the fourth largest movie theatre circuit in the United States, Marcus Theatres has location in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) is keeping a seat open and placing a red rose on every bus from November 30 through December 2 to honor the life of Rosa Parks and her contribution to equal rights.
