Almost 20,000 pounds of Wisconsin Cheese donated to Houston recovery

For the third year in a row, UW-Milwaukee has been named one of America’s most welcoming universities for LGBTQ+ students. Federal grant to fund Haggerty Museum of Art’s place-based water atlas

Marquette University’s Haggerty Museum of Art was awarded a $146,404 federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services for a public art project by artist Mary Miss that creates place-based experiences exploring water systems throughout Milwaukee’s urban landscape. In collaboration with Marquette and the Haggerty, Miss is creating Watermarks: An Atlas of Water and the City of Milwaukee. Sierra Club ranks UWM among top environmental universities

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is the state’s leading sustainable university, according to a recent ranking by the Sierra Club. The nonprofit environmental organization named UWM to its Top 50 Cool Schools 2017 list. UWM offering students food assistance and emergency grants

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee offered a new resource to help students in financial crisis pay their bills and stay in college starting September 1. UWM students can apply for a one-time grant, distributed through the university’s Dean of Students office, of up to $1,000. Called the UWM Emergency Grant, this award can cover expenses such as rent, medical treatments or car repairs that students accumulate during the 2017-18 academic year, which begins September 5.
