Sailing camp teaches local students how to navigate a future on freshwater

Along Lake Michigan for the next few weeks, Milwaukee’s future sailors are perfecting their nautical skills as part of a joint program from Discovery World and the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center. Airshow sees Army Parachute Team descend through the atmosphere

The 2017 Milwaukee Air and Water Show took place under mixed weather conditions along the Milwaukee lakefront on July 15 and 16, attracting crowds of thousands to Bradford Beach and Lincoln Memorial Drive as aircraft propelled by blade and turbine buzzed downtown. After nearly three decades, the only remaining African-American owned bookstore in Wisconsin closed on July 8. Carla Allison, owner of the Reader’s Choice bookstore, officially retired at the age of 74.
