Photo Essay: In the aftermath at Ground Zero

On the 15th anniversary of that tragic event, the images are still as haunting and the long shadow of their history remains a part of our life today.

Unpublished photos from a private collection taken the week of September 28, 2001 by a former Milwaukee resident and first responder who assisted in the rescue efforts at Ground Zero of the World Trade Center in New York.
