Thief in Walker’s Point makes off with bus shelter artwork by using bus as getaway vehicle

An investigation is underway into a daylight bus shelter heist recorded on video, and the art community has come together to work on replacing the stolen artwork with help from a personal donation from Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele. City of Franklin co-opts Milwaukee name for new Milkmen baseball team

It is ironic for the City of Franklin, which has a proud tradition to set itself apart from all things Milwaukee, to adopt the other municipality’s name for its new baseball team. The fact that Wisconsin was historically a dairy state makes naming any new sports team after a non-alcoholic beverage a logical choice, considering a beer related team already exists. Miller Park bus route drivers highlighted in ad as Brewers make their playoff push

The Milwaukee Brewers released a new promotional video recently titled “Hunting October,” which included Milwaukee county Transit System (MCTS) drivers. The video featured many familiar references to Milwaukee fans, and since MCTS gets the public to and from each and every home game that the Brewers play at Miller Park, it was fitting that the team featured bus drivers in their newest ad. Milwaukee Brewers join MLB’s league-wide observance of 9/11

Major League Baseball and all 30 Clubs will conduct 9/11 commemorations throughout the league on Tuesday, September 11 as part of Baseball’s ongoing effort to honor and remember those whose lives were affected or lost on that tragic day.
