Gender diversity report highlights rise of women in Milwaukee businesses

Study finds that female representation on Wisconsin Top 50 Public Company Boards has increased 4% over the past dozen years. Milwaukee Women Inc. recently released its annual research report, Measuring Change 2017. Encyclopedia of the Yiddish Theatre publishes new digital volume

The Digital Yiddish Theatre Project announced the digital publication of volume 7 of Zalmen Zylbercweig’s “Encyclopedia of the Yiddish Theatre.” The digital publication allows users around the world, for the first time, to browse the volume from the convenience of their computers. The user-friendly interface created by Familiar Studio allows users to read the text onscreen or to print PDF files of individual entries. Milwaukee Film Festival 2017 awards $140K in prizes

The 2017 Milwaukee Film Festival, presented by Associated Bank, announced this year’s festival jury award winners, who were awarded $87,000 in cash and more than $60,000 in production services. Bublr launches crowdfunding campaign for Riverwest bike station

Bublr Bikes, Milwaukee’s nonprofit bike share system, recently launched its first ever community-driven campaign to fund a new Riverwest neighborhood station. The crowdfunding campaign launched on October 9, and will be working toward the goal of $50,000 to completely fund the installation and upkeep of a 9-dock Bublr station.
