Ismael Bonilla fired as director of Mitchell International Airport

Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele announced the firing of Ismael “Izzy” Bonilla in a written statement on September 14. Bonilla was immediately removed from his position as the director of Mitchell International Airport, which is owned and operated by Milwaukee County. The Independent Audit Services Division for Milwaukee County had conducted an investigation into potential misconduct by Bonilla. Families across Milwaukee County can leave their cars, minivans and SUVs at home on Saturday, September 23 and hop on the bus for the annual “MCTS Take Your Kid on the Bus Day.” All children 12 and under ride for free on all MCTS routes that day. East-West BRT to cut road congestion and spark economic development

Milwaukee County and MCTS recently submitted an updated grant to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for funding for the East-West Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project. The nine-mile regional BRT will run from Milwaukee’s lakefront to Wauwatosa. Bucks and Johnson Controls open multi-sport complex at Browning Elementary

The Milwaukee Bucks and Johnson Controls today held a grand opening ceremony for a $150,000 multi-sport complex on the campus of Browning Elementary School and Silver Spring Neighborhood Center in Milwaukee’s Westlawn neighborhood.
