Milwaukee County’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Feasibility Study is launching a new website and holding two initial public meetings. The website, EastWestBRT.com, includes background on the potential project, benefits of BRT, some common questions and answers, short videos showing what BRT could look like and the map of the potential routes that are being studied. Five hundred new gardens to be built during BLITZ

From Saturday, May 7 through May 21, hundreds of volunteers will join Victory Garden Initiative for the nation’s largest garden-building event, the Great Milwaukee Victory Garden BLITZ. Over these two weeks, volunteers will build approximately 500 4x8’ raised-bed gardens filled with healthy, organic soil in locations throughout Milwaukee.
