Milwaukee job skills program rolls out awareness campaign to encourage enrollment

With more than 18,000 jobs currently available in southeastern Wisconsin, ResCare Workforce Services has launched a “Change the Game” campaign to raise awareness among FoodShare members about enrollment in the FoodShare Employment and Training (FSET) program. FSET is a free program that helps FoodShare members in Wisconsin build their job skills and find jobs. ResCare Workforce Services administers the FSET program to FoodShare-eligible individuals in Milwaukee, and regional counties like Kenosha, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha. USO Wisconsin will be hosting the 4th annual Operation Christmas on December 9 at the Milwaukee County War Memorial in downtown Milwaukee. The nonprofit organization assists active military personnel throughout the state, and this event provides assistance to military families during the holidays. “Operation Christmas allows our community to share some holiday cheer with our local military families and thank them for all they do for our country throughout the year,” says Josh Sova, executive director of USO Wisconsin.
