Study finds outdated public transit infrastructure costs billions in lost business revenue

Decades of under investment in America’s aging bus and rail public transit infrastructure has had a negative effect on business revenue, and resulted in lost jobs and wages, according to a new study from the American Public Transportation Association. Failing to address America’s $90 billion backlog of public transit modernization needs, also referred to as State of Good Repair, resulted in a loss of $340 billion in business revenue to the U.S. economy over a six-year period. More students have died this year in school than military soldiers in combat

A new analysis by The Washington Post found that more people have been kіIIed at schools so far in 2018 than have been kіIIed while serving in the U.S. military, based on data from Defense Department news releases.
